GRANTS 

FORART grants are given annually to projects supporting academic and art critical research in international contemporary art. The Foundation will give grants within the limits of an annual budget to projects it deems important, and reserves the right to accept or reject any applications. FORART does not give publication support or sponsor exhibitions or other art projects, travels or lectures. 

Education and Citizenship 

While almost all recipients of our research grant possess a higher education degree within the field of art, there are no formal degree requirements for the grant. 

Timing 

Applications must be received by March 1. Applications are reviewed once a year and final decisions are made by the Board at its annual meeting in May. Applicants will be informed promptly by email of the Board's decision. 

Application for grants should include the following: 

- A letter of approximately 3 pages describing the research project 

- Bibliographical references 

- A project budget 

- A description of publication plans 

- Curriculum Vitae
